[RESOLVED] All of a sudden googleapi Error 429

Yup, seems to be working with the --user-agent flag. Thanks for the tip!

Not a good sign of things to come I'm afraid

Works without the --user-agent flag aswell.
Started working at around 12.20.

I blame https://pgblitz.com/ and similar project that use rclone that aim to circumvent and abuse the generous quota and upload limit that Google set.

rclone working fine here aswell, EU Business GSuite

Yes, those .... ruin it for everone else sooner or later...

Maybe @ncw should have a talk to these project owners or even ban them from using rclone

I'm not sure how you could even go about doing that. It's open-source, after all. They could just fork it. It wouldn't achieve much, and it wouldn't really be worth it.

So are we sure that the only way to fix it is by changing the user agent?

Right now, it seems to be the only thing that works.

Guys - Let's keep the thread civil as well.

You are right, sorry

Mine is running right now. So far i have uploaded data in the last 51 mins without errors.

I had no problems uploading last night with all the errors as well:

2019/05/15 03:35:11 INFO :
Transferred: 93.381G / 93.381 GBytes, 100%, 68.776 MBytes/s, ETA 0s
Errors: 0
Checks: 15 / 15, 100%
Transferred: 15 / 15, 100%
Elapsed time: 23m10.3s

as mine just runs overnight.

the same command without user agent (rclone's default) fails and with it it doesnt. perhaps the user agent balances to one server that is not the rclones one just to take load into account

Yours is US or EU? I have 2 EU, both in east and west and both have errors.

I have read that people in US still work without error.

Oh sorry. I'm US based as well.

Strange. I had errors earlier today, and then started it around 12.20:
Transferred: 85.767G / xx TBytes, 3%, 25.925 MBytes/s, ETA 32h29m14s
Errors: 0
Checks: 5561 / 5561, 100%
Transferred: 23 / 7074, 0%
Elapsed time: 56m27.6s

On the other hand, how on earth do you archive such fast upload speeds?

Oh and EU Based.

That's what I thought. People in Reddit mentioned almost all people who gets error are from EU servers.
