I think the easiest loophole to exploit currently, is that new shared drives in Google Workspace subscriptions are without quota enforcement for the first minute or two after they are created.
So whatever files and folders you can move on to your newly created shared drive in the first minute will be happily accepted. It doesn't matter whether your subscription is already over quota or not.
I think most hoarders are just having two WS subscriptions now, and are moving their folders back and forth between newly created shared drives at one and the other subscription as needed (to avoid suspension).
I mean, i am the one who recommended them. However, It has now been over a year now since I first purchased storage from them. I started out at 100TB ( paid with paypal in case it was a scam ), and been with them ever since. Since joining, i have purchased an additional 200TB , bringing my total up to 300TB. I pay the monthly fee...i can max out my fiber internet upload speeds...and I use it literally everyday to stream whatever I want, directly to my Shield Pro...kinda like a Plex Server, but im not using plex. Point is, ive been with them over a year now, my data is always available, and its accessible on my phone as well if your tech savy. Just need rclone for your phone, or a webdav browser + vlc. Idk, to me, its been worth it, but to each there own.
Thats because they wanted to offer storage on the cheap. Its only ran by 3 guys, we are not talking Google Servers here... all I can tell you is my experience. Which is that, for over a year now, I have almost 300TB stored in their servers, and they have been online and accessible for the past year ( I stream from it multiple times a day ).
I am in no way affiliated with them, just giving you my honest review and what I have experienced with them over the past 365+ days of everyday usage. If you are afarid they will take your money and disappear, pay with PayPal, if something happens to them, that would be a very easy dispute to win.
I also tried some other options, but TeraBox stands out as the best. You can get up to 16TB of cloud storage at a reasonable price, and the best part is the free 1TB. Sync offers unlimited storage for $15, but I’ve never stored that many files, so I'm not sure about any limits. Most other services cap at 2TB, which probably won’t meet your needs.
Wow, I don't know anything about Quotaless, but their wording there is so very poor that I'm honestly kind of wondering if it might be intentionally misleading in an attempt to get things like this to happen.
I don't believe so. They simply don't want to sell a TB at a time. They could probably rebuild the slider, phrasing, and calculations so it's obviously adding up 10TB each, but that's more work. I wouldn't claim malice.
So I've been using Quotaless now for several months and I have to say they actually are really good it's 60 euros a month and then when you need more storage its 20 euros per 10tb but its a one time fee not recurring so other than when you add storage your only reoccurring fee is the 60 euros I really truly applaud them because this is by far the most intelligent way of doing cloud storage I think I've seen in a long time and definitely will be sticking with them and highly recommend them
To be clear, I am not "claiming it's malice". I'm saying that the phrasing is so incredibly bad that the question of whether or not it's malice occurred to me.
Did you ever test Sync? It's unlimited for 3 years at $45/month and people seem pretty content with it. That's quite a lot cheaper than quotaless assuming it works well so I'm curious if it was one that you tested and why you wouldnt recommend it.
