I tried to connect with you via the discord link but it expired
I see in IhostStart(https://panel.ihostart.com/index.php?rp=/store/storage) there is already a 1 euro per TB plan (9.18 euro month per 7tb). This is a much better deal than Hetzner storage boxes and fit my use case (pure off-site backup and small webserver) perfectly.
Do you still have referral codes or the plans above are the ones we can opt to?
For those of you using Quotaless, could you tell me if you've used it with Plex for about 20 simultaneous users, and whether you've encountered any issues or speed limits?
I understand that the site mentions "legally" limiting it to 6 family members, but I have a very large family and friends who rely on me.
I don't want to pay and end up being banned later, having spent all that money for nothing.
For the moment, i'm trying to make it work as they told me on the technical support, but it's still not working. I got some EOF error on my reading files.
They told me this :
We are currently investigating the issue.
Please wait a moment.
Best regards,
Quotaless support team
I gave up on quotaless, have over 200TB of data on their servers, and over 80% of them are corrupted. After many, many e-mails back and to..they send me the same garbage. "We are currently investigating the problem." BS. They have been feeding that line to me for over 3 months, if they can't fix it in that time span, they never will. I can no longer in good conscience recommend Quota to anyone. They had an opportunity and failed miserably. The guy who runs it, won't offer you ANY type of refund. I've tried for 3 months to get even a partial refund, nope. Stay away.
I ended up getting a dedicated server with Crunchbits w/120TB storage and unmetered 1gig connection for $125.00/mo.
You or anyone else have any more feedback on Sync.com? $45/mo for unlimited storage seems like a good deal, but clearly none of us can really trust unlimited anymore...
Is Rclone even supported ? If not, and you have to use an app, idrive360 is still cheaper. Their app is not very good tbh, and pretty cpu heavy when uploading, but for the price, I'll deal with it (I've around 75tb with them for now).
I've tried really hard to use iDrive360 myself, but as you said, having no rclone support and being forced to use their sucky app ended up not working for me.
About the "for the price" part, I just got this email from them:
Dear REDACTED REDACTED,
To accommodate increased infrastructure costs and continue providing you with reliable and scalable endpoint backup, we will be adjusting the prices for your 5 device plan. The plan rates will change from $19.90/Device/Year to $29.90/Device/Year.
The change will take effect on your next renewal date April 06 2025. Your subscription will be moved to the new plan automatically to ensure continuous uninterrupted service.
Kindly take a moment to confirm that the payment method you have selected has up-to-date and accurate information for the next payment. It is crucial to maintain a current and fully paid account to prevent your account from being disabled and to ensure uninterrupted service.
Not going to renew their service. Will continue to rely on my old incrementally-upgraded-storage Google Drive.
