Mount bucket as network drive using rclone - ceph object gateway

Hello,

I have a ceph cluster, I also uploaded the Object Gateway service to it.

I'm trying to set up my bucket as a network drive to validate settings and start uploading files and testing the tool.
I'm using the settings below.

  • provider: Ceph
  • access_key_id: Q3*S1*****NGQV7LC1
  • secret_access_key: MYBpeJwpN8oDLH2***19agK8VHm9Xw3
  • endpoint: https://s3.mydomain.com.br
    Keep this "bucket-s3" remote

command map: rclone.exe mount bucket-s3:mycloudbucket V: --vfs-cache-mode full

What am I doing wrong ?

Obs: S.O Windows

If you answer all questions from the template then somebody maybe can help you.

Otherwise it is impossible to guess as you even do not say what does not work:)

welcome to the forum,

can you explain exactly what do you mean by network drive?
are you looking for --network-mode ?
do you want to share V: over the local LAN and/or VPN

that debug log looks ok

Hello

network drive:
network mapping
\server-bucket...

the debug log looks ok, should be able to access V:
is that correct?

Unable to access.

if you want help, you have to explain that, in detail.

please, do not ask us to keep pulling info from you. thanks.
we are volunteers and we cannot see into your machine.
so far, your responses are cryptic and one-liners and we are not able to help you.

I give short answers, as there isn't much log to disassemble.

But getting back to the real topic, as you can see in the print, my unit is mounted and I can download and upload it. It's just not shown in the GUI.

I think we are not going anywhere with your answers.

You posted again your mount command - this time as a picture and letter V in red semi circle in half hidden terminal (?) window. Is it some sort of riddle?

Can you explain in plain language what is the issue?

Hello friends, I got it here. You can now see the bucket as a network drive.

The problem now is, do I need to run rclone in the background or some hidden way.

If you want to run the mount command in the background without a shell window use Task Scheduler, Windows Services or https://nssm.cc/.

Search this forum for similar topics - it has been covered many times.

hello,

rclone --no-console mount ...

another very simple option, that i use often, is nircmd.

i discuss that and more at
nircmd exec hide "rclone" mount %source% %mountpoint%

and if you want to run as system user.
psexec -i -s "%cmdfile%"

Thanks. Simple and objective!
