Dropbox mount failed (resolved)

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

rclone dropbox "mount" fails and returns

get current account failed: missing_scope

despite "lsd" working fine

What is your rclone version (output from rclone version)

rclone version
rclone v1.54.1

  • os/arch: windows/amd64
  • go version: go1.15.8

Which OS you are using and how many bits (eg Windows 7, 64 bit)

Windows 10 64 bits

Which cloud storage system are you using? (eg Google Drive)

Dropbox

The command you were trying to run (eg rclone copy /tmp remote:tmp)

rclone mount test2:/ Y: --network-mode
2021/03/14 17:48:28 Failed to create file system for "test2:/": get current account failed: missing_scope/```

but

rclone lsd test2:

works fine

Thank you for all help

Phil

hello and welcome the the forum,

what makes you think this is a bug?

are you using your own app id?

there is a small difference between the two commands, the paths are not the same.
https://rclone.org/dropbox/#dropbox-for-business
test2:/
test2:

have you read this?
https://forum.rclone.org/t/dropbox-no-members-read/22223/3

Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
I am new to rclone, really a great software, I wish I had discover it sooner.

I assumed it was a bug because "lsd" works and not "mount" (from my tests).
I apologize if this assumption was too quick. I can copy the post to support
if you think it is more appropriate ?

yes I did read the link you pointed, but it seem different, because in my case I had no problem with creation process (auto mode), and "ls" work for me and not for this other post.

are you using your own app id? No

test2:/ and test2:

indeed sorry.

with the "/" I do get the same error:

C:\rclone>rclone lsd test2:/ -vv
2021/03/14 20:31:32 DEBUG : rclone: Version "v1.54.1" starting with parameters ["rclone" "lsd" "test2:/" "-vv"]

2021/03/14 20:31:32 Failed to create file system for "test2:/": get current account failed: missing_scope/.

and works mount without the "/" (despite an error):

C:\rclone>rclone mount test2: X: --network-mode --vfs-cache-mode writes
2021/03/14 20:33:20 ERROR : Dropbox root '': Statfs failed: about failed: missing_scope/..

with -vv

So for my use, the problem is resolved, many thanks for your help
and sorry for posting in "suspected bug".

If you need me to test or try something please let le know.

Phil

there is no error with rclone mount test2: X: --network-mode --vfs-cache-mode writes -vv
so the issue was resolved by removing the slash?

really should use your own app id. that could be the reason for the scope error.

if you click the pencil, you can change the template to help and support
image

Yes, removing the slash solved the problem.

I searched but couldn't find where I must define my app id in the rclone config ?
