What is the best way to update my rclone version?

What is the best way to update my rclone version? I didn't find anything on the topic. Does that mean that the only way would be to remove rclone entirely and then reinstall it?

I've been looking for answers related to this topic, but couldn't find anything. I apologize, if this is redundant...

I came to the forum to ask a question on something else I'm dealing with, then I realized I am using rclone v1.36, when the newest version seems to be 1.52.2, so I figured I would update it first, and only ask my question if the issue persists.

I appreciate any help you can provide!

hi,

when posting, it is better to use the help and support, as it would ask you for some basic info.

Which OS you are using and how many bits (eg Windows 7, 64 bit)

Thank you! My bad.

I'm using Ubuntu 18.04

it's all good
:upside_down_face:
https://rclone.org/downloads/#script-download-and-install
curl https://rclone.org/install.sh | sudo bash

Note that this script checks the version of rclone installed first and won't re-download if not needed.

This was not very clear to me. Does it mean that it will not download while another version is present in the system or that it will just update the existing installation?

it will update the existing installation, overwrite v1.36 with v1.52.2
