Vfs-cache-max-age off

with the values bellow (--vfs-cache-max-age turned off)

--vfs-cache-max-age=0
--vfs-cache-max-size=1024G

when run the -vfs-cache-poll-interval will rclone stale the oldest objects?

Are you running full or writes?
What version of rclone are you running?

Best to just use the help and support template...

rclone v1.55.1
ubuntu 20.04 lts

running full cache.

It's first in, first out when it's clearing the cache unless it's in use, in which case it can't be removed.
