Hello, I'm wondering how exactly does vfs-cache-max-age with vfs-cache-mode full work, as in from what moment does it start the countdown for a cached entry.
Also, do any actions on the file (it getting accessed by the OS or downloading additional pieces of it from the remote) reset the counter for the associated cache entry to zero?
The age is all about the OS accessing the file. So it starts from the moment you start accessing it. Each time it is accessed it is reset. If you haven't accessed it for the time period then it becomes eligible for removal.
