A useful thing you could do @jethromorais would be to find the .srt file in the VFS cache after it has failed to upload and check its permissions. Has it somehow no longer got permissions for rclone to read it? That is what the error message seems to be saying.
I'm not sure how that could happen, so if we can check the permissions on that file that would be useful.
