I'm still testing Uloz, speeds are....unpredictable to say the least. For some extra testing, which rclone version, os and settings are you all using for Uloz? I've tried pretty much everything I can think of and while speeds are great for large(let's say 500MB and larger) files, the smaller the files the more the speeds goes down(like a few 100 KB sec max).
I also got a personal API key but that didn't seem to make any difference.
All alternatives have been discussed. I have not seen any other alternatives added for a while. Therefore, I can assume there are no other plans to discuss.
I take "unlimited" to mean "as close to unlimited as currently possible", so pretty much all suggestions given in this thread are on-topic for it and I find everything very helpful.
Maybe the topic title should be changed. However, everyone in here involved in the discussion seems to be quite clear on what is currently being talked about. I don't really see a reason to lock this or why this bothers you, apart from the title maybe.
Say you needed 200TB. Any suggestions for the best DIY options? It seems Synology is a great brand but expensive. Is it just a matter of finding the cheapest Marketplace/Ebay/Craiglist items that will fit your needs?
Uloz is a recent and good alternative. While not unlimited it's the closes there currently is. Still not sure what to make of the fluctuations in speed though.
If you want a nas, it will be expensive as you will need something like 16 slots or more to reach 200to. But the pricey things will be all the drives anyway. I have good experience with Qnap and Synology. Qnap is sometime cheaper on some segments.
Dang I wish I knew this earlier as I would've gamed this better like you mentioned. end of jan was my 3rd request and I've seen this message ever since but I couldn't find anything online about it. Wonder if it is possible to transfer everything to another workspace account in one go?
What was the process for getting the personal API key? The page discussing the API key is all in Czech, and I do not speak Czech, so I have been reluctant to contact them about getting an API key. I've just been using the testing / public one from their API page.
It seems the first post explains that the discussion isn't restricted to unlimited options:
I'm looking for alternatives for my currently ~35TB of data; I know nothing is truly "unlimited", but I mean for that volume of data and working reasonably well, ie not throttling access speed to unusability, not frequently erroring out for no reason, and specially not eating my data.
Given that, can you elaborate on what's off-topic / dead here? I'm not sure I follow. The topic has been fairly active, and most of the discussion discusses services that would work well to store the OP's 35TB of data.
Perhaps the topic has been cleaned up since your post was made? I have not been following the topic regularly.
If anyone needs a temporary storage space I could offer a Dropbox License with about 140TB usable Storage Space with read/write access until mid of september. After that the account will be converted to read only by dropbox.
I already went local so i dont use it anymore.
Whoever is interested ,just send me a message with an offer.
