"Unlimited" alternatives to Google Drive, what are the options?

Google would never lock content without warning and giving time to migrate your data, right? I guess the best choice is to keep paying Google for what is frozen there and pay other service like iDrive e2 or OneDrive Family for the newest content missing in GDrive. Then use rclone combine or union to merge remotes and display everything as if it was a single remote.

Can you provide details on how you contacted Google and what exactly you asked? I can't seem to find details on being able to request an increase to 10TB per user (instead of 5TB).

I read in the Docs from Google that they deleted all your Files after 2 years over your storage Quota what you pay for. So your Idea works for 2 years and then they delete all. But in this 2 years you have enouth time to Switch.

I have five users on Google Workspace Enterprise Standard. The initial allocation is 5TB per user but Google Workspace provides flexible pooled storage that is shared across the organization. For customers with 5 or more users, more storage may be available at Google's discretion upon reasonable request to Google Workspace support.
I just messaged them for more storage & they gave me another 5TB per user so I now have an allocation of 50TB although I actually have about 115TB of data. They told me that I may request more storage in 90 days from my first request. I will ask for more storage in 10 days but whether they give me 5TB 1TB or 0TB per user I have yet to see.

I'm in the same boat. Start cataloguing your drives. It can be painstaking, but it's worth it. I have over 150 Hard drives or something now. I used a program called Cathy, but I'm sure there's better options now. I haven't redid my catalogue in a few years.
What I've done is keep my Google Drive and Box accounts open while presently I'm adding new stuff to hard drives at home. Costly right now, and I'm not sure how long that other data will make it, but it's there and I can start to back it up slowly if needed.

Same here... What kind of business is that? Have you been refunded automatically?

yes, but only for remaining of the current month.
Had to do chargeback request on rest of the months.

btw the bandwidth used you marked only counts shared links, not rclone etc.

Thank you for the clarification. At the moment, we still have access to our accounts, but with certain limitations. Box support is not responding; we posted a message on their support forum, but it was deleted. If necessary, we will attempt a chargeback, but it has been almost 4 months since the transaction was made...

I heartly confirm everything @enz1ey and others have pointed about Box: just plain banditry and worst customer service EVER.

They locked up all my data (wouldn't allow even READ access!) and the only option to unlock(again, for READ) would be to cancel my account, so I was forced to cancel. They said they would give me READ access for 30 days to take my data out, but guess what? THEY DIDN'T. So I had to reconstruct all my data from local copies, fortunately I had everything on my hard disks and despite all the Box crap, didn't lose any data -- thanks for my local hard disks, NOT to them, Box.com is PURE TRASH.

And to top it off, they now are emailing me regular SPAM -- when I created the account, I made sure to UNmark their "receive promotional emails" checkbox, so they are sending me that SPAM against my express wishes! And I even clicked on the "unsubscribe" links on the first email they sent, but despite that they CONTINUE to send me SPAM.

Box.com is the WORST provider ever, my recommendation about them to everyone is to just AVOID, AVOID, AVOID at all costs.

Another victim of box here, same story, rate limited up and down, 99% sure I met all the terms, 2 months with them, 3 accounts banding uploads across them, just over 3tb uploaded in 2 months so half of the FUP and still restricted, support won't tell me what I specifically broke in the FUP even after asking repeatedly. Have requested a refund, see if they actually let me get data off..

Can you tell me what actually happened? Did you download/upload more than 3 TB of data that accumulated from 3 accounts (assuming you have at least three accounts on the enterprise plan) in a month? I'm just trying to understand how they calculate the bandwidth exceeded and ban the entire account here.

Yes, I have three accounts, but only one is heavily used. I downloaded/uploaded more than 3 TB of data in a month, that's sure.

In my case it was less than 3tb in a month, and not > 1TB per account and was still rate limited. Multiple requests for them to show me exactly how I breached the FUP have been completely ignored.

What!? I think they were attempting to find a way to cancel the service, even though we have met all the terms. Have you had an opportunity to get your data back? I have submitted a request to them to get my data out from their service, but unfortunately, I haven't been successful. Their support team don't give a s*; no one seems to care about our data.

If it exceeds 10TB of content, and there are no file downloads, they simply start deleting everything.

I am using 1fichier with over 10TB of content. Where does it say that they start deleting my files? I understand I can pay for more Cold Storage. Did they really just delete your files?

Yes exactly the same experience here, no response to any of my emails requesting this yet, nor a refund. Incredibly frustrating.

Can believe. They will delete it without prior notice. If the option to buy more cold storage appears, buy it immediately, or you can expect an unpleasant surprise soon.

I've started my next test. https://www.blomp.com/

Unlimited, certainly not, but only $1/TB a month (For MONTHLY plans)

Support so far has been quick to respond, their default app (blompGO) is based upon RClone, and speeds have been adequate. I.E. maxing out 2 - 1gbps connection. Does seem to run off of OpenStack Swift, which I cannot get files to go over 5GB.

***I am adding to this response, Support has been lackluster in providing technical results/solutions to tickets. Unless this improves, the product is currently unusable with Rclone on files over 5GB.

Box.com just hit me with a bandwidth limit - for those that got hit did they remove it the next month?

This is what they have to say about it:
