"Unlimited" alternatives to Google Drive, what are the options?

to clarify, I agree, google is "lying" about the "forever" part. But I am confident that whatever lie they're telling is still more than 60 days. Of course I hope to solve my dilemma in 60 days. But I'm not panicking because if it takes 100 days it'll also probably be okay.

@steven0706

This is for MS Onedrive .

Once the users quota hits 90% of 5TB the the admin on the account can increase the storage to 25TB (25600 GB)

I am currently using One drive Business Plan 2 . once you hit 90% of 25TB then you need to reach out to MS to increase the storage and MS will allocate the storage on the Sharepoint

Now, it's August 11, time for those who received the first email on May 11 to request a second increase in capacity. Will Google be willing to give us another 5TB per license? If you're sure they're going to keep increasing it, 90 days/5TB per license is kind of cool. No one knows if Google One's ToS apply to Workspace, but if we take the same 2-year grace period before data is wiped as they do, that's 720 days, which is almost 40TB per person. If you stay below 40TB before your data is wiped, and keep adding 5TB every 90 days, you should be able to stay anchored in Google - if you're too late to move to Dropbox.

I doubt they're willing, but I am 100% glued to hearing what someone in this thread gets as a response. I'd love to know.

I am currently using their renewable E5 developer subscription where I get 25x 5TB onedrive accounts. And I can create sharepoint (25TB) as many as I want.

What’s the process for getting the additional 25 TB sharepoint sites and can you add a shortcut from the 25 TB sites to your main onedrive? I can’t really figure it out. I have the E5 dev account and OneDrive for business Plan 2 and I’m currently testing it. I can also tell there’s some weird throttling going on, do you know how to get around that?

I have added SharePoint shortcut to my main OneDrive for my work account. So I will assume that you could do the same with the developer account.

Process for getting 25tb for SharePoint is really simple. Go to SharePoint admin page and change SharePoint storage to manual and set the limit to 25600GB. It's that simple.
While you're there you can change OneDrive limit to 5TB.

Browsing through the forums I have come to the same conclusion they have weird throttling.

I have been transferring data from another cloud provider and it has taken me almost a week to transfer 21tb.

I really hope somebody with direct experience with this will chime in.

I requested storage on May 23rd, so I'll be adding a few seats to my account then requesting additional storage late next week. Will report back.

do u have anything else in mind?

Thanks a lot for this. Looking forward to your report.

What are you using for your mount settings with iDrive? I am testing as well, but I am seeing some slow mount performance compared to GDrive and Box.

Status updates please

Dropbox Advanced: Any reports as to how much extra storage Dropbox is providing now once you reach capacity?

Google Enterprise: Did you get the extra 5TB/user that support said is available every 3 months?

Default setting with VFS full mode. It is perfectly ok for my requirements.

1 TB/Month. Submit and you will get 1Tb after 1 month.
