Union:MFS not MFSing

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

when using rclone union with 'mfs' selected for 'create' catagory, all the files still get synced to only one remote. all but one of the remotes are empty, so they should all get SOME files. i stopped the transfer after 11gb had been transferred to only one remote. also, when changing the 'create' category to 'rand', all the remotes do get files; so the union remote is able to communicate with all of them.

Can you run rclone about on the upstreams and report the results?

Rclone decides where to send the files at the start of the upload and before updating the free space so if you uploaded all the files at once it can do this.

looking at that list above, i see it's the 1.103 that was getting all the files. so maybe i should've waited longer than 11 gb. it's .049 tb bigger than the others, which is actually 49 gigabytes

My point is that rclone's info on the upstream free space isn't always 100% accurate so it can overcommit sometimes.

Those pesky TB of storage!

lol. ok, mixed emotions now. your original hunch was correct; after the initial 49 gb had been transferred, rclone neatly added the other remotes and started strewing the files accross them like intended. to all but one. one of the 5 remotes, the ServerBackup2 remains completely empty of files. i can transfer to it directly from the same server easily, but the union remote refuses to send files to it. here's a log that shows it's certainly being added to the mix:

yet, the ServerBackup2 never even gets the folder created like the log shows it does. i also tried deleting the union remote and creating a new one; same story. i also copied the remote from the about log to the union creation wizard to avoid a spelling mistake. can't imagine what else would be wrong; the logs aren't saying anything.

The ServerBackup2 remote has the least amount of free storage by about 50GB - I suspect that is the reason.

sorry! i kept looking at used space instead of free space. .0x of a terrabyte is a surprising amount of space. working as expected
