Tried to follow step by step for setting up Teslamate Autobackup

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

sudo: /usr/local/bin/docker-compose: command not found
2024/08/25 11:58:49 Failed to create file system for "gdrive:TeslaMate": unknown file name encryption mode "gocspx-xiyvj0zwcx9pjphr6o3sl7dmigts"

Run the command 'rclone version' and share the full output of the command.

So, i am not familiar with all this stuff, but i visited How to perform an automated TeslaMate backup to Google Drive - TeslaEV.co.uk and follow step by step but somehow I cant get rclone to run.

Hesitated about posting here because I'm not sure how to describe where my problem is, but hoping to be able to solve my problem. Let me know on where I can provide more information. Thank you!

welcome to the forum,

please post the full output of rclone config redacted

[gdrive]

Double check the config for sensitive info before posting publicly

and what about simple command such as

  1. rclone lsd gdrive: -vv
  2. copy a small file from local to gdrive, something like
    rclone copy file.ext gdrive: -vv

ok, good, gdrive: remote seems to be working fine.

sorry i am new to all this, i think the tutorial wasnt super updated. i had to find ways to authorize the gdrive since tunneling to the raspberry pi wasn't explained at all.

so what am i missing?

no need for that. you already authorized/created the gdrive remote named gdrive: and it works.
just copy the config file to whatever machine/location you need.

root@raspberrypi:/home/pi/tmbackup# chmod +x tmbackup.sh
root@raspberrypi:/home/pi/tmbackup# ./tmbackup.sh
sudo: /usr/local/bin/docker-compose: command not found
2024/08/26 21:15:27 Failed to create file system for "gdrive:TeslaMate": unknown file name encryption mode "gocspx-xiyvj0zwcx9pjphr6o3sl7dmigts"

the script doesnt work though

rclone does work.

ahh i see, so nothing wrong with rclone. just maybe his steps. ok thanks!
