Transfer a big file directly to a cloud

Hi,

is it possible to transfer a big file https://rodlzdf-a.akamaihd.net/dach/3sat/23/11/231130_island_von_oben_dokreise/1/231130_island_von_oben_dokreise_2360k_p35v17.mp4 directly to a cloud through Rclone?

Is MediaFire cloud supported by Rclone?

yes, should be able to use rclone copyurl

not sure what you mean by direct ?
rclone copyurl would use the internet connection of the machine that rclone is running on.

mediafire would need to offer a protocol that rclone supports; webdav, ftp, sftp, etc...
can search the forum, has been discussed a number of times.

Does it mean this file has to be transferred to my local computer and then uploaded to the remote cloud through Rclone? So the connection must keep alive before the transfer finishes.

yes and yes.

if you do not want to use your local internet, then run a cheap cloud vm and run rclone on that.
