I'm uploading mid-size video files to a third-party sftp-storage with rClone copy. (500 MB - 2 Gbyte per file). The third-party-provider reported 50.000-60.000 pings / requests during the upload. I assume it has to do with the chunk size, but that is just a theory. Is there a way to monitor SFTP transfers or to change the chunk size?

the nature of sftp, it does a lot of requests as compared to modern protocols.
use a rclone debug log, try --progress
might be able to increase the chunk size

does the provider offer any modern protocols such as webdav?
