Is there any reason to run any of these scheduled tasks on plex?
Like this one for example
Will that help my media play quicker when I later actually select and play it? I’m trying to get my media to start playing as fast as possible. I have been doing these tasks but wondering if its a waste of time and bandwidth.
Media Analysis helps when you have to transcode during playback and you have also set a bandwidth limit. The deep analysis helps the “Streaming Brain” manage bandwidth and streams. If all you do is DIRECTPLAY content then it not much use
How are you doing without getting banned?
I just got banned for refreshing my library and I only have 132 items.
i scheduled maintenance every night from 2 AM to 7AM and never been banned with more than 300 items
