Reclone serve dlna gdrive buffering

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

Since some weeks, using rclone serve dlna from google drive, the playing devices stop randomly 1-5 times in a minute for buffering, which makes it unuseable. I added buffer-size parameter with 512M, but it became even worse, more buffering...
Same on TV, and on laptop.
I have 1gbit download, 1gbit network, and for example the TV that is one client have 100 mbit connection, everything on UTP.

Video file for example an mkv, with 18 mbit/sec bitrate

Run the command 'rclone version' and share the full output of the command.

rclone v1.58.1

  • os/version: ubuntu 20.04 (64 bit)
  • os/kernel: 5.4.0-96-generic (x86_64)
  • os/type: linux
  • os/arch: amd64
  • go/version: go1.17.9
  • go/linking: static
  • go/tags: none

Which cloud storage system are you using? (eg Google Drive)

google drive

The command you were trying to run (eg rclone copy /tmp remote:tmp)

rclone serve dlna remote:/folder --no-modtime --no-checksum --buffer-size=512M --log-level INFO --read-only

What should i do? i used it for more than a year without such problem.

hello,

without a debug log, hard to konw what the exact issue is.
your machine, your internet, your internal home network, peering, google, location, etc...

perhaps this is the issue

Nothing in log except the usual vfs cache status report in each minute, log level INFO

need to use log level DEBUG
