Rclone attempts to detect changes to backend applied via command line flags, but it doesnt if you change the remote itself in the config file.

All would have been well if you had chosen a new name for the crypt backend.

I did not change the remote itself in the config file. I just used the app and deleted the crypt remote with the app delete functionality. Then I created a new crypt remote with a different Name and password.

I am not sure what you mean with "new name for the crypt backend"
