I’m using rclone mount vfs with backup-dir option but when a file gets deleted via mount the backup isn’t created. Is anyone experiencing the same problem?
I didn’t think backup-dir did anything with a mount? I thought it was for sync only.

Since it’s an inherited option i thought it had the same behavior as move/copy/sync.
Doesn’t seem it is.
That is correct - --backup-dir does not work with mount.
