Rclone 1.45 has been released - find it here https://rclone.org/downloads/

Highlights:

  • Much increased remote control API with new command rclone rcd just to serve it
  • The Yandex backend was re-written - see below for details. You’ll need to reconfigure it.
  • --files-from is much much faster on destinations with large number of directories
  • --ignore-case for filtering
  • Delete function in rclone ncdu

    • The remote control API (rc) was greatly expanded to allow full control over rclone (Nick Craig-Wood)
      • sensitive operations require authorization or the --rc-no-auth flag
      • config/* operations to configure rclone
      • options/* for reading/setting command line flags
      • operations/* for all low level operations, eg copy file, list directory
      • sync/* for sync, copy and move
      • --rc-files flag to serve files on the rc http server
        • this is for building web native GUIs for rclone
      • Optionally serving objects on the rc http server
      • Ensure rclone fails to start up if the --rc port is in use already

        • This is a huge speed improvement for destinations with lots of files
