Rclone mount plex acd crypt initial performance

Hello,

I’m running Plex in a container on Kubernetes which resides in Amazon US-WEST-2 on an R4.Large instance (plenty of horse power, plenty of bandwidth, etc…).

I have rclone mounting ACD Crypt volumes (have tried various settings). My biggest problem I’m running in to is the initial play time.

Which on the rclone side is:

After this, the ACD stream continues to pull the 131072 size blocks with increasing offsets (streaming), but up until that there is a 5-15 second delay.

I’m trying to figure out how to optimize this so that the experience is as nice as it would be if the media was local. I figure since I’m in the AWS data center itself, three shouldn’t be any excuse not to have a local-like experience.

I have tried:
–max-readahead: (default, 10M, 100M, 200M, 400M, 1G, 10G)
–checkers: (default, 4, 8, 16, 20, 40)
–acd-templink: (default, 0)

All result in about the same initial lag to play a video.

Hoping there might be something I’m missing to help make the experience optimal.

Thanks!

I will let you know when i switch to crypt. so far for me in 90% of cases videos load in 4 to 8 seconds, sometimes it may take 15 seconds but thats up to ACD not rclone.
