Rclone mount google drive VERY slow upload speeds

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

I'm experiencing very slow upload speeds with rclone mount, stuck at 2,3 mb/s
I'm using google drive with a crypted remote, a cached remote, and a normal one.

What is your rclone version (output from rclone version)

v1.51.0

Which OS you are using and how many bits (eg Windows 7, 64 bit)

Your command is pretty limiting as you have a lot of things there that would slow it down.

You'd wan to share the actual full command you are running as I can't tell which remote you are copying to.

it is best to use the least number of flags.
if needed then add them one at a time and test.

you can see the command in the first line of the logs, also I'm copying from my local drive (D) to my crypted remote (gcrypt1).
The problem is that even if I make the command simple (like rclone copy source destination -P) the speed is the same :frowning:

i would do a test, bypass the crypt and cache
`rclone copy D:\testfolder\ gdrive:\testfolder'

but the problem persists with both solutions, even if I bypass the crypted and the cached drive the speed is the same, and it's the same if I use @Animosity022 command. Here are some logs.

when you bypassed the crypt and cache, what was the command and debug output?

You'd want to make a non cache remote with crypt and copy to that.

Using the cache remote, you are limiting to 1 worker and slowing things down. There is no reason to use a cache remote for an upload.

  1. about the client id, i created it and I also have the client secret, I was just not sure about how I created it because the link you have sent @asdffdsa says 'select type of application: other and you can use the default name', but the 'other' option is not there for me. When I bypassed crypt and cache the command was: 'rclone copy D:\largefilename gdrive:folder -P'

  1. @Animosity022, yeah maybe i configured it wrong but if the cache remote is the problem then why uploading directly to the gdrive remote gave me the same speed? I'm new to this so am I missing something?
    Also how do I setup plex so he can read uncrypted content? I mean it works now but if I have to change the cache-crypt configuration how many remotes do I set up and how?
