Rclone keeps saying "Failed to create file system for "..." when running mount/rclone copy command

I have my copy commands all together in an executable file (with correct permissions, chmod +x & 777). Whenever I wanna sync my files, I run the file. This is what's inside the file:

rclone copy "gdrive:Music" "gdrivecrypt:Music" --progress
rclone copy "gdrive:Documents/Important Documents" "gdrivecrypt:Important Documents" --progress

Same thing for mounting (command within a file):

rclone mount gdrive: /home/mutantmarine/mnt/gdrive --allow-other --allow-non-empty --cache-db-purge --buffer-size 32M --use-mmap --dir-cache-time 72h --drive-chunk-size 16M --timeout 1h --vfs-cache-mode minimal --vfs-read-chunk-size 128M --vfs-read-chunk-size-limit 1G &

Randomly it'll work, but randomly it won't and it'll give me this error:

"Failed to create file system for "gdrive:Music": couldn't find root directory ID: googleapi: Error 403: Rate Limit Exceeded, rateLimitExceeded"
" Failed to create file system for "gdrive:Documents/Important Documents": couldn't find root directory ID: googleapi: Error 403: Rate Limit Exceeded, rateLimitExceeded"

It says rate limit exceeded, however, it's the first time I've used rclone/my google drive for the past week and I'm the only user so there's no way I've hit the rate limit.

If I keep trying it, it eventually works. Why does it work randomly?

Also, it says the same thing sometimes when I run the mount command. Please help.

Extra info: my config file is in my home folder (/home/mutantmarine/.config/rclone/rclone.conf) and I've run the commands "rclone config --config=/opt/rclone/rclone.conf" and "RCLONE_CONFIG=/opt/rclone/rclone.conf" but whenever I run "rclone config file" it points to /home/mutantmarine/.config/rclone/rclone.conf

Why is that? I've removed and reinstalled rclone but it still says the same thing. Help!

I can't figure out what you are trying to do as you have a bunch of commands and no logs for those commands.

Can you stick with one issue? Share what command you are trying to run, the output of the command and what the problem is?

Okay I'll just ask about my main problem then.

I run the command rclone copy gdrive:Music gdrivecrypt:Music --progress in the command line and it'll randomly work and not work, giving me the error code:

"Failed to create file system for "gdrive:Music": couldn't find root directory ID: googleapi: Error 403: Rate Limit Exceeded, rateLimitExceeded"

I have 5mbps upload speed so I never reach the api limit and I'm the only user so it's not possible. Besides, I'll run the command one time, unmount, remount, then run it again and it'll work. Just wondering why it's inconsistently working.

Here's the copy command. It worked but as you can see, it gives the 403 error, then works. It's been skipping everything because of those errors though. Any thoughts on it?

Based on what you've posted so far, it's almost impossible to follow as you give a clip of a log with no start (no command in the log) and flip back and forth between a copy and mount issue.

I can't see any errors so far on anything you've posted.

If you want to share on command, one full debug log and what the problem you are experiencing with that set of data, we can take a look.

Figured it out. I guess it was my mount command.

I had this command in an executable file that I ran in crontab: rclone mount gdrive: /home/mutantmarine/mnt/gdrive --allow-other --allow-non-empty --cache-db-purge --buffer-size 32M --use-mmap --dir-cache-time 72h --drive-chunk-size 16M --timeout 1h --vfs-cache-mode minimal --vfs-read-chunk-size 128M --vfs-read-chunk-size-limit 1G &

It wasn't mounting correctly, but would still copy files somewhat...not sure all what was going on. I just made the mount into a service script and now it all works correctly.
