I see, I would like to give it a try, but I do not have time to tinker with it right now, and cannot disconnect my mount for now. So I will update here once I try the official version.
For me it doesn't work either way with the --dameon With their version or yours even though they claim its just the download from the site as I said above they said they do not change anything they are just preinstalling it.
However I thought you had to have the --dameon In order for it to run in the background so that your terminal does not have to stay open.
Either way its weird that I have the error of

try running your command in a screen so it can run in the background. use screen -dmS rclone YOURCOMMANDHERE

Of the 3 I have tried, I like the whatbox best so far. Plex runs fine for me, video loads within 2-3 seconds.
Edit: make sure to use fusermount -uz CLOUDPATH
I have had others but they typically limit your data per month. So I came to Whatbox because of the unlimited plex data.

yes, in the past, i used https://www.seedboxco.net, linux with root and really great tech support.
they use ubuntu, not that wacky gentoo and custom compiled software, why whatbox would do that makes zero sense to me for a seedbox for novice users??? -
currently, i use a cheap seedbox, $5.50/month, Shared seedbox – Seedbox.io, no ssh, just to get torrents. they offer a sftp server.
so i connect my local emby, using sftp, to the seedbox for streaming.
yeah it's been working fine for me. My Upload Traffic is sitting at 6.67 TB / 5.00 TB rn. I like how they limit you to 100Mb after you reach your quota, pretty generous limitation I think.
how is seedbox.co speed wise? I had a server based in the Netherlands awhile back and it was so slow at loading my plex library so I moved back to the US.

I cant get it to stay up. So it lasted 2 hours this time before everything pops up unavailable again. This is the problem I keep running into
need to look at the rclone debug log and see what is going on.
the best I can seem to get is that log I showed above. I never seem to have a debug log elsewhere.
Its not generating one I guess even with the commands above

Before it quits it lags so much it takes minutes to load a show ext and then I have to fuser mount and then do it again for it to load up.

I see I think the issue is the token expires from dropbox about every few hours. I have everything set exactly as the rclone dropbox page says to do.

when i first got that cheap seedbox, i did some testing with torrent with a lot of seeds.
if i remember correctly, the hard limit was 12.2MiB/s to download a torrent to the seedbox.
most of what i watch, i watch one and then delete it.
if i want to keep something, i download it to my home server.
so 600GB seedbox is enough for me.
as i need a home server anyway, i prefer to spend money on hard drives, not on a seedbox.
for example, whatbox is $348/year for 4TB.
whereas for my home server, a good quality 4TB hard drive is $90.
i used raid5, so 3X4TB is $270 and get an usable 8TB of storage.
I have way to much that I could ever store locally. Tons of classic movies/shows plus I share with few friends and my internet company gripes at me if I download or upload to much.
I have not had any issues. Then now this big issue and the dropbox expired token which is so weird.
tokens expire all the time and rclone will get a new token, on the fly.
for example,
about the tolen, they expire and rclone will get a new token on its own.
should see something like
