Rclone faster than rsync for local (ssh) copies?

I'm looking to verify some information I came across in Reddit - Dive into anything

There seems to be a suggestion that rclone could be used instead of rsync and possibly be faster for local copies over SSH. Can someone help validate that comment from 2 years ago?

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

None. I am looking for a faster way to copy 30TB of data from one linux system to another on the local network. rsync is not multi threaded.

The reddit discussion must be referencing the Local Filesystem connector; since I don't see another solution to replace rsync over ssh for my use-case.

Thanks!

I suggest you run bunch of tests for your specific situation and determine what works the best. There are so many variables involved it is difficult to have general recommendation.
