RClone Dropbox - no config file

Hey there, when connecting dropbox to rclone it goes every step as it shoul but when I want to go a step further to e.g. mount my remote than it says the config file in my C-Drive doesn't exist. For some reason it doesn't create the file after the process.

rclone v1.56.0

  • os/version: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 2009 (64 bit)
  • os/kernel: 10.0.19042.1165 (x86_64)
  • os/type: windows
  • os/arch: amd64
  • go/version: go1.16.5
  • go/linking: dynamic
  • go/tags: cmount

I am using dropbox as storage

I used "rclone config" and i did all the steps but conig file doesnt appear

Any reason you deleted the template and didn't use it?

You didn't include any information to help you out as we can't see your screen.

I am sorry I am new to this field. Which information do you need because I don't know how to find the information from the template

after that I chose dropbox (10)

Here I just kept using th standard answer (Enter) and The Auth Link opened and i chose "accept"ز

Then This came up and the process finished. The config file hasn't been created tho and I can't find anything on this.

Do you need any other information?

When you posted, there is a huge template that fills in and asks you to stop and read it:

If you want to find your rclone.conf, run:

rclone config file
Configuration file is stored at:
/opt/rclone/rclone.conf

It will show you where the file is located. It's specific for the user. you ran the rclone config as so it has to be the same user.

Thank you very much. Thats what I have been looking for!

Yeah I saw that but I did not understand some of the things required by the template. I will do better next time. Have a great day.
