Rclone as a nssm service

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

Trying to set up an rclone mount as a windows service with nssm

What is your rclone version (output from rclone version)

Latest version from the official website

Which OS you are using and how many bits (eg Windows 7, 64 bit)

Windows 10 64bits

Which cloud storage system are you using? (eg Google Drive)

Google drice

The command you were trying to run (eg rclone copy /tmp remote:tmp)

On the nssm config I have: "rclone mount --vfs-cache-mode full googledrive:/ Y:

The thing is the service always fails to start, I've tried different mount parameters but it never works. If I try to run the mount from a terminal then it works perfectly using the same parameters that I'm using on nssm.

hi,

need use full paths,
for example in my case
C:\data\rclone\scripts\rclone.exe

i use windows built-in task scheduler,

  • it has a nice user interface
  • can be used with any application
  • has a built-in scheduler
  • can start a task from the command line, script or desktop icon.

In NSSM on Application page:
Path: Browse and select 'rclone.exe'
Startup Directory: This will autofill with the path to folder where 'rclone.exe' is located.
Arguments: Enter the arguments but to not include 'rclone.exe', an example of one of mine below:
mount 9759_MASTER: O: --config C:\rclone\rclone.conf --vfs-cache-mode writes

I hope it helps.
Aussie.
