Rclone and ProtonDrive, Remote execution?

Hi, I was wondering if there is some plan for an option on the sync command that causes "rclone" to ask the remote server for the changes instead of asking for an update on each of the files. I am aware that ProtonMail does not expose the documentation for their API, and it is possible their API does not provide the capability to do the status queries on the remote end. It would really speed up the sync step. I tried applying a filter to check only files that were modified in the last 8 hours, but it still had to check every file on the remote and then decide not to do the hash check for changes.

currently, no plan at all for anything.
based on many forum posts, the protondrive remote is abandoned, there are many bugs not getting fixed and the author of the backend has not visited the forum in over a year.

that is the expected behavior for any backend.

Hi,

Thanks for the information. I was wondering why Proton Drive was missing from the current beta.

I'm trying to get my iCloud drive to work but when I submitted what I think is a bug it went to closure in 30 days with nobody responding to my query for help.

hi @LeoW,

are you sure, as i downloaded the latest beta and protondrive is still there?

sorry, confused, as this topic is about protondrive, not icloud drive?

Hi,

I stand corrected I just checked and it is still there only I read somewhere that it has been depreciated and is going away because the developer hasn't been working on that particular remote for over a year and there are bugs that haven't been fixed so it will at some point be going away.

Sorry I didn't mean to confuse the issue with icloud I was merely mentioning my problem not asking for help.
