I thought others may be interested in this. The PhotoSync app can now do client-side encryption with either OpenSSL or rclone!
I haven't tested it out since I do not have that level of the app but it is pretty exciting!
I currently use rclone serve to serve an encrypted storage. It is encrypted in transit by https then rclone (plus whatever protocol) but this is better since it is encrypted the whole way.
