What is the problem you are having with rclone?
rclone fails to move files from one of my buckets to the other on v1.70.3. An older installation of v1.67 (even with identical config file for the aws account) works perfectly.
Run the command 'rclone version' and share the full output of the command.
Non-working new version:
$ rclone version
rclone v1.70.3
- os/version: clear-linux-os 41970 (64 bit)
- os/kernel: 6.9.7-1445.native (x86_64)
- os/type: linux
- os/arch: amd64
- go/version: go1.24.4
- go/linking: static
- go/tags: none
working old version:
$ rclone version
rclone v1.67.0
- os/version: clear-linux-os 43630 (64 bit)
- os/kernel: 6.12.33-1498.ltscurrent (x86_64)
- os/type: linux
- os/arch: amd64
- go/version: go1.22.4
- go/linking: static
- go/tags: none
Which cloud storage system are you using? (eg Google Drive)
AWS S3
The command you were trying to run (eg rclone copy /tmp remote:tmp
)
rclone -vvv move s3:nexus-upload-cache/VVTL1 s3:nexus-datasets/backup/VVTL1
(identical command works on v1.67!)

I don't care at all about ACL's. It's disabled on the destination bucket for a reason (even though ACL's are enabled on the upload bucket, where fine-grained access is required).
v1.67 does this:

So the old version works well. Although the new version, v1.70.3, is correct that ACLs are not enabled on the destination bucket, it is not correct to need them or fail if they aren't present.
