Mount works, other commands don't

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

I can't use any commands other than rclone mount.

lsf, lsd, moveto, all fail - same binary, same configuration

Run the command 'rclone version' and share the full output of the command.

rclone v1.72.1

  • os/version: ubuntu 20.04 (64 bit)
  • os/kernel: 5.4.0-216-generic (x86_64)
  • os/type: linux
  • os/arch: amd64
  • go/version: go1.25.5
  • go/linking: static
  • go/tags: none

Which cloud storage system are you using?

Linode/Akamai block storage

The command you were trying to run

 lsd linode: -vv

Please run 'rclone config redacted' and share the full output. If you get command not found, please make sure to update rclone.

[linode]
type = s3
provider = Linode
access_key_id = XXX
secret_access_key = XXX
endpoint = eu-central-1.linodeobjects.com

A log from the command that you were trying to run with the -vv flag

The mount command:
rclone mount linode:<mybucket> <myfolder> --daemon

The API access key is global (unlimited access)

welcome to the forum,

should do a rclone selfupdate

i would experiment with:

for a deeper look at the api calls, try --dump flags, such as --dump=headers

Thank you for the quick reply.

upgrade rclone, added the flags - still same error. I can still mount the folder...

how do you know rclone mount works.
can you post the top thirty lines of the debug log?

i would go back to your original command and try
