Initial Google Drive and rclone Questions for Plex

Hello, I'm sorry for not sharing any details since, I have not tried anything yet.

But, I have some advices to take so that I could plan the setup.

Google Drive: Team Drive (Cheap Options from Some Websites)
OS: Linux Debian 10 on the Server and Windows 10 on the Home Server.
Purpose: I want to use same Google Team Drive for both Linux Server and Windows Server to store the Movies/Shows and Accessible with Plex.

Questions:

  1. Google Team Drives works well with the rclone or do I need Google Suite Business Drives / .edu Google Drives?

  2. How can I mount a drive on Windows 10 using rclone?

  3. If you could share the easiest and best performance based guide so that I could mount Google Drive on Linux and Windows both without much buffering/transcoding?

  4. Google Team Drives are Write/Read or Read Only?

  5. Google .edu Drives are Write/Read or Read Only?

Thanks.

  1. What kind of Google Drives are you using? (Edu / Team / GSuite)
  2. Could you share some guide for it? (For Linux and Windows)
  3. Google Team Drives are Write/Read or Read Only?
  4. Google .edu Drives are Write/Read or Read Only?

Thanks.

  1. install rclone.
  2. setup a remote for gdrive
    https://rclone.org/drive/

if you need more help:
the internet is full of guides.
https://www.google.com/search?q=rclone+setup+gdrive

also, youtube is full of videos
just search for rclone google drive

if you get that far, or have questions along the way then ask.
if you get that first step working, i can help get the mount working.

Okay, I have successfully mounted a drive. But the problem is that, the drive mounted is mine own Google Drive Account with 15GB. It didn't mount the Shared Team Drive.

good,

when you first posted, you were asked for information, now is the time to supply it all.

Which OS you are using and how many bits (eg Windows 7, 64 bit)

Which cloud storage system are you using? (eg Google Drive)

The command you were trying to run (eg rclone copy /tmp remote:tmp)

The rclone config contents with secrets removed.
