I tested it rclone copy remote: ~/delete -P --transfers=20 and that seems to be fast and works fine. However if I have it mounted and test from the mount point rclone copy /mnt/google/ ~/delete -P --transfers=20 most files are going at less that 1MiB/s is anyone else experiancing this also or is it slow directly from the remote also?

several Hetzner dedicated servers, they all have the issue.

i dont think it rclone,probably ip got throttle by google. intentionally or not,not sure.
mine upload/download all get throttle most of the time(not all time). some time u get normal speed. the thing i not test yet it download/upload using browser on those vps.Mine from netcup

What is different between copying from the remote directly or a mount point though. Something must be different between the 2 since it's fine when you copy directly from a remote.

just do 1 file like 4gb and see what speed u get untill it finish
I have tried on a dedicated server and my home Windows 11 PC (different countries). Tried single files and 20 files at a time, if you do like 10 files at once maybe 3-4 of them are KiB/s and then rest are normal speeds but then sometimes they are all slow. I have tried mutlple Google Workspace domains. The issue is currently with the "mount" command only from my testing. I have also tried "Mountain Duck" and its the same. Personally I think Google is doing something which is only effecting mounts, not sure if its a bug or what but this happened 3 weeks ago and it cleared up and now its happening again.
Top one only 1 bad file later on most are bad.

im using google drive token.pickle also slow like 2mbps,at first u will see normal speed then it get throttle 2,3sec later.

Its happening to roughly 80% of people at the moment. Its actually not effecting me on my server but on my home PC is it. I know alot of other who are having the issue also. This will go on for a few hours and then fix itself for a period of time.
Its also effecting Google Docs files not opening and saving, it has to been an issue on Google's end again same as 3 weeks ago.

Its working again at the moment, yeh mostly EU,UK. I can spin up a server in US and try that when its stop working.
