Yes that seems very broken in windows...

I re-wrote the terminal handling to use a different library. This may affect the way --progress displays too. Any testing appreciated!

I see no big need to adjust colors as I suspected due to the black background. Everything is very clear - and now it is impossible to be confused 
Are there more affected menus than this? If so let me know and I will just quickly test they all work and there are no additional quirks.
What library is this by the way? I just know this info would be useful to have at some point in the future

The other one people get confused by are the S3 menus which have loads of examples.
I'm using VT100/ANSI terminal colours which are understood natively by unix terminals and the support for this on windows is provided by go-colorable.
