What is the problem you are having with rclone?

Can't connect to remote server, which is OneDrive. I get error Unauthenticated

Run the command 'rclone version' and share the full output of the command.

Note - Although this is not the latest version, it is the one I must use for this version of MacOS, which I use because I have a 32-bit application that i want to run on this Mac.

as a test, to see if the rclone version is the issue. do not use rclone mount

  1. find a machine that can run latest version
  2. copy macos config file to that machine
  3. test rclone lsd on that machine.

and

  1. find a machine that can run latest version
  2. create the config file on that machine
  3. test rclone lsd on that machine.
  4. copy the config file from that machine to macos
  5. test rclone lsd on macos

i guess there is some reason cannot run rclone mount using 64bit, and at the same time, have 32bit application see the mount point?
@kapitainsky, is that true, is there a workaround?

I actually compiled and added compatibility list to docs:

and indeed it is the latest rclone which can run on Mojave (10.15). Double checked now. It is golang limitation. Newer rclone versions require golang not running any more on older systems.

Mojave is the last macOS supporting 32-bits apps (rclone is 64-bits BTW). I know myself few people who have to run it due to some specialized old 32-bits software. It is maybe niche but valid requirement.

What I would do myself I think is to run very light VM with some Linux (e.g. cmd Debian, no need for GUI) and e.g. rclone serve webdav inside. This way I could mount my remote using the latest rclone available. I reckon 1 or 2GB or RAM VM should be enough.

@bmeacham - have a look at Oracle Virtual Box. You will have to download v6 which is the last version supporting Mojave.

rclone serve can be also run on another local machine if this is an option.

Thanks to all who work on rclone. I have found another solution, InSync (https://www.insynchq.com/) that works for me so I will use that one and will not pursue this issue anymore.
