Error concerning directories

2017/08/15 20:10:46 ERROR : foo/bar/: Entry doesn't belong in directory "foo/bar" (same as directory) - ignoring

I’m trying to understand what this error means, if I care about it, and if so what I need to do to resolve it.

What command were you trying to run when you got this?

Redacted a bit for anonymity:
rclone --dry-run --log-level DEBUG --stats-log-level DEBUG --bwlimit 10M --transfers 40 --retries 20 --update copy /some/path/to/some/data some-gce-project:some-gce-bucket/some/path/to/some/data'

The failure in question exists here in the file structure:
/some/path/to/some/data/foo/bar
