Who this is for:
If you're comfortable running rclone from the CLI and managing cron jobs, you probably don't need this. Data Raven is aimed at business users who want a turnkey solution—no servers to provision, no scripts to maintain, no manual log management.
Why I built this:
Over the past few years, I've helped dozens of customers build automated solutions for moving data between cloud object storage providers. Each time felt like reinventing the wheel: same patterns, same infrastructure, same monitoring needs. As object storage becomes the default for more workloads, and with the emergence of numerous Neoclouds, highly specialized GPU clouds, etc, the need for reliable, repeatable transfers keeps growing. Rclone is the obvious foundation—but businesses often hesitate or get fearful by the mere recommendation of an open source tool they have to manage on their own with a limited team.
