Combining multiple remotes for storage (JBOD-like)

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

I would like to combine multiple OneDrive remotes into one remote to combine the storage they provide. I am thinking of using rclone's union mount type for this but am not sure, what exact options I have to use.

Run the command 'rclone version' and share the full output of the command.

rclone v1.50.2

  • os/arch: linux/amd64
  • go version: go1.13.6

Which cloud storage system are you using? (eg Google Drive)

The command you were trying to run (eg rclone copy /tmp remote:tmp)

rclone config

The rclone config contents with secrets removed.

I do not have the remotes set up yet.

hello and welcome to the forum,

the first thing is to update rclone to latest stable, v1.57.0

thanks, I will. Does the update affect the feature that I am trying to use?

Have you read the docs? Union

What are you trying to accomplish? Mirroring? Double space?

Also, update to the latest! Union got some major work recently, though I don’t know when compared to your version

I will update. Until now I just ran the latest version shipped by Ubuntu 20.04.
I am traying to get more storage space. The OneDrive accounts each have 1TB and I want a mount with 2-3TB (if I use 2 or 3 accounts).

I updated via the provided DEB file. Is there any official PPA which I can add to my installation for auto updates?

There isn't a PPA. Rclone is best installed via just the download script as it's a single binary and not real need for much else.

rclone has a built in selfupdate command as well.
