Bypass 255 limit while using crypt? (Jotta)

I'm hitting the character limit on some of my files with Jotta Cloud, but I would really not have to rename them (just testing with Jotta, my primary is gsuite).

I'm using Jotta with Crypt. Is there a way around this limit? Is it possible to implement something to crypt that never excides the 255 limit?

Short answer is no. You'd need to use shorter names. Using crypt makes file names longer.

Thanks, that's what I feared. I was hoping there could be as magic solution in the cryptography that could keep it shorter.

Wonder why they have that limit in place anyway.
