Best Way to Update Rclone, roll back if needed

I installed rclone with the install script. Can I update by just re-running the script:
curl https://rclone.org/install.sh | sudo bash

Also, in case of issues, is it possible to roll back to a previous version?

I just run that install script and you could always grab an old binary from here:

https://downloads.rclone.org

or you could make a backup before installing it. It's easy enough to reinstall an old version though, I'm not sure I'd put my effort into it.

Rclone installation is very simple. "updating" basically means replacing a single executable file (aside from documentation stuff that comes along in the package but is not needed).

So it would be pretty trivial to roll back by just going into the archive and finding the exe file you need

(sorry, missed that the topic was so old)
