Best settings to mount a 4k movie folder

I am getting buffering with plex on my 4K movies.

Has anyone found any optimal settings?

what client are you playing it with? is it transcoding or direct playing?

[/quote]Using Plex on my TV, and direct playing. Everything is wired on 1000, and yes, the TV is 1000.

I can play files locally from the same machine fine. Its just buffering the ones that are on GDrive

How big are these files?

How fast is your internet. You said everything is wired to 1gig but does that include your connection to your ISP?

You may want to enable verbose logging to see what the logs say. Many reasons can cause this but from my experience it may be difficult to stream 4k from Gdrive unless you have a very fast pipe

files are around 50-60gb

I have gigabit fiber internet

Can I do a mothering huge buffer??

you are really stretching the boundaries of what’s possible.

Rclone doesn’t currently support multi theaded downloads (not sure if it ever will? @ncw).

This means that you are limited to how fast you can download a single file. Do this test:

rclone copy remote:/path/to/4k_file localfolder

Report back how fast you can pull a single file from Amazon.
