Retired EE & Computer Science engineer; 38 years total split between Intel Corp. and Mentor Graphics. Did lots of system admin work for multi-user labs at both places. Some kernel coding for both Windows and Linux. Most recent work was tool-guided performance tuning of customer server-farm & mfg. floor apps; got them to use x86 and x86_64 CPUs & systems more efficiently. Still doing ad-hoc consulting for some folks, and neighbors & relatives (sigh); "Oh, Jim can fix it!".
