I have no experience whatsoever with Xen Orchestra, but as far as rclone goes I would highly recommend using write caching to provide the highest level of compatibility for write operations. Without this you are rather limited to uncomplicated straight copies and many programs will have issues using the clouddrive directly.
Try adding these:
--cache-dir "/some/path/to/cachefolder"
--vfs-cache-mode writes
