I also installed the WebClient component of Windows as mentioned here.
[In Windows Server, WebClient is installed within the “Desktop Experience” role].
No change, same logs and the mount becomes inaccessible (yet the rclone service still runs).
If it helps, rclone is running as an nssm service.
