Urlcopy with gomobile librclone in android app (kotlin)

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

I'm trying to make an android app that uses rclone to copy a file from a url

Run the command 'rclone version' and share the full output of the command.

with command : Gomobile.rcloneRPC("core/version", "{}")
output: {
	"arch": "amd64",
	"decomposed": [
	"goTags": "none",
	"goVersion": "go1.21.6",
	"isBeta": true,
	"isGit": true,
	"linking": "dynamic",
	"os": "android",
	"version": "v1.66.0-DEV"

Which cloud storage system are you using? (eg Google Drive)

google drive

The command you were trying to run (eg rclone copy /tmp remote:tmp)

//this just puts 3 lines of json elements togheter and sends it to the rcloneRPC function
jsonObject.put("fs", ".")
            jsonObject.put("remote", "")
            jsonObject.put("url", "https://placeholderurl.com/test.7z")

            val response = Gomobile.rcloneRPC("operations/copyurl", jsonObject.toString())

the error i got

2024/01/28 19:46:03 NOTICE: Config file ".rclone.conf" not found - using defaults
response status: 500
output: {
	"error": "Get \"https://placeholderurl.com/": dial tcp: lookup theapp.vrrookie.xyz: no such host",
	"input": {
		"fs": ".",
		"remote": "",
		"url": "https://placeholderurl.com/test.7z"
	"path": "operations/copyurl",
	"status": 500

it cannot get the file even thought i can download it just fine with the windows rclone cli with the command

rclone copyurl https://placeholderurl.com/test.7z test.7z
