SSHFS VFS cache failing to flush

I also tried renaming the file in the vfs directory

to be fair I don’t entirely know what the full function of the VFS cache folder is. Does it store files that are to be moved or is it purely a local copy of something that has already happened ? If vfscache is set to full does the vfs cache store files that are going to be moved/modified ?
