@asdffdsa , the solution is to switch in the rclone config the vendor from owncloud to nextcloud. I confirm that this switch is working. Thanks alot. But this confirms the bug in the owncloud vendor in rclone.
vendor = nextcloud (working! upload files > 1 GB)
vendor = owncloud (broken. The webdav upload does not work correctly with files > 1GB)

sorry, still not seeing a rclone bug.
owncube uses nextcloud and as i demonstrated, that works fine.
chunking works, hash works, modtime works
I think the confusion is owncube is not the same as owncloud.
Oh wow i thought that they used owncloud because they called owncube. My mistake! Thanks a lot guys. Yes they use nextcloud

they should call themselves nextcube but that name is taken.
