Self update broken on fresh out of box Ubuntu 24.04

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

Self update doesn't seem to work on a brand new Ubuntu 24.04 install

Never run any type of selfupdate on program managed by your package manager. Uninstall it first (apt remove rclone) and install the latest version directly from rclone website.

As I remember years old rclone versions (like yours) had some bug with running self-updates. You should not see this issue with new rclones.
