I'm just doing the intermediary between you, by cross-posting your respective (appreciated) contributions, and that's not very efficient.
mgagliardo seems to have a valid point in pointing out that the rclone request is wrong.
I'm still surprised that you are not more eager to have rclone working with localstack.
localstack is a great way to simulate a network storage provider such as aws S3, which is great for testing.
rclone being this amazing cloud swiss knife, it's a pity that it does not work with localstack.
I can not spare more time on that topic, and since I'm not involved in rclone dev nor in localstack dec, I'm just a man in the middle.
